8月10日，汕头大学国际教育学院李宝华教授率汕大狮城探索之行交流团莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆参访交流, 本会国内外事务组负责接待。会长拿督斯里吴木興博士BBM(L)、总务兼国内外事务组副主席黄朝群、外事兼国内外事务组副主席陈森泉，以及国内外事务组组委杨胜栋，组员郑金福、陈伟文、翁鼎朕、陈俊强等人全程热情接待，开展真挚融洽的座谈交流。
吴木興会长致欢迎辞，介绍了本会近百年的发展历程与服务宗旨，回顾去年联合新加坡社会科学大学（SUSS）组团赴汕头大学研学的丰硕经历，期许中新两地持续深化互动、互通资源、凝聚潮力。随后，李宝华教授提及汕头大学与新加坡潮人社群的深厚渊源，期待双方持续深化校企联动、常态化开展研学互访活动；企业代表杜雪迎女士结合自身文旅产业经验分享行业发展态势，她表示本次到访汇聚了各行各业的潮籍乡亲，期盼依托会馆优质平台，打通跨行业交流通道、搭建多元合作桥梁，助力两地企业互通互助、共谋发展。
座谈会尾声，来访团各位嘉宾依次自我介绍，分享各自行业领域与发展优势，积极交流探讨。整场活动乡情浓厚，有效拉近两地潮人情谊，为中新校企、企业间的深度交流与务实合作筑牢了良好基础。
On 10 August, Professor Dennis Lee of Shantou University’s School of International Education led the university’s Singapore study delegation on a visit to Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan Singapore. The delegation was warmly received by the Huay Kuan’s Local & International Affairs Committee. President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L) and committee members joined the welcoming session and engaged in warm and cordial discussions with the delegation. President Derek Goh shared the Huay Kuan’s nearly century-long history and mission. He also recalled last year’s study visit to Shantou University with Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and expressed hope for closer exchanges and resource sharing between Singapore and Shantou.
Professor Dennis Lee highlighted the strong ties between Shantou University and the Singapore Teochew community. He looked forward to more school-industry partnerships and regular study visits. Ms Du Xueying, a business representative, also shared insights from the tourism and cultural sector. The visiting delegates then introduced themselves and exchanged views on their respective fields. The visit strengthened ties between the two Teochew communities and laid a good foundation for future cooperation in education and business.
