八邑会馆出席庆祝马来西亚潮州公会联合会成立91周年庆典
8月15日至17日，新加坡潮州八邑会馆吴木興会长率团赴马来西亚巴生，出席庆祝马来西亚潮州公会联合会（马潮联会）成立91周年庆典。本次庆典由巴生滨海潮州会馆主办，雪隆潮州会馆、适耕庄潮州会馆及沙白县韩江公会共同协办。 16日晚举行联欢晚宴，来自全马的潮籍属会、雪兰莪州政要、商界领袖及巴生各社团负责人齐聚一堂，与会人数超过2000人。晚宴上，雪兰莪州务大臣拿督斯里阿米鲁丁为活动致开幕词，马潮联会大会值年主席兼巴生滨海潮州会馆会长拿督斯里郑明发、新加坡潮州八邑会馆会长吴木興博士、马潮联会总会长林家光先后发表致辞。 吴木興会长在致辞中回顾了1934年新加坡潮州八邑会馆作为创始成员，与马来西亚五地会馆共同创立马潮联会的历史。他指出，九十余年来，新马潮人共同见证了马潮联会从初创到发展壮大的辉煌历程。无论是在推动马来西亚经济发展、促进社会和谐，还是在传承潮汕文化方面，都充分展现了潮州人的担当精神。展望未来，吴会长坚信马潮联会将继续团结80万潮人乡亲，为马来西亚的繁荣发展做出新的贡献。 本会代表团成员包括：前会长曾建權、署理会长吴佶财、副会长洪静源以及副交际杨耀平。 From August 15 to 17, Dr. President of Singapore Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan Dr. Derek Goh Bak Heng, led a delegation to Klang, Malaysia, for the 91st Anniversary of the Federation of Teochew Associations of Malaysia (FTAM).
