关于勤学奖

Academic Diligence Award

2026年2月22日，新加坡潮州八邑会馆设立的“八邑基金会”推出“八邑勤学奖”，每年拨款5万元，资助潮籍学生。

这项计划由会馆副会长、勤学奖筹委会主席梁成辉统筹推动。“教育是连接文化传承与未来的重要桥梁。我们希望通过提供勤学奖，减轻低收入家庭学生的经济负担，让他们能够更专注于学业。”

On 22 February 2026, the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan Singapore introduced the “Academic Diligence Award” under the Poit Ip Foundation, allocating S$50,000 annually to support students of Teochew descent.

This initiative was spearheaded by Mr. Neo Sing Hwee, Vice-President of the association and Chairman of the Academic Diligence Award Organising Committee. He said “Education is a bridge between our cultural heritage and future. Through the Academic Diligence Award, we hope to ease the financial burden on students from lower-income families, enabling them to focus more fully on their studies.”

申请条件与资格

Diligence Award Application Criteria

申请者须为新加坡公民或永久居民，就读本地学校或大专院校，且父母其中一方为潮州籍人士。同时，申请者须品行端正、学业成绩达及格水平，并在华文科目中取得及格成绩。

To be eligible, applicants must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident enrolled in local schools or institutions of higher learning. At least one parent must be of Teochew descent. Applicants are also required to demonstrate good conduct, attain passing grades in their academic subjects and obtain at least a pass in the Chinese Language subject.

在家庭经济条件方面，申请者家庭总月收入(未扣除公积金)不得超过4500元，或人均月收入不超过1500元；每户家庭最多两人可申请。此外，成功获奖者须在确认后加入会馆成为会员；未满18岁的申请者，则须由至少一名家长加入成为会员。

In terms of financial eligibility, the total gross monthly household income (before CPF deductions) must not exceed S$4,500 or per capita income must not exceed S$1,500. A maximum of two applicants per household is allowed. Successful recipients are required to become members of the association upon confirmation of the award. Where the recipient is under 18 years of age, at least one parent must become a member of the Huay Kuan.
